SMILE represents Simple randoM acts of kIndness heLp Everyone
The SMILE letters are all over the place in the acronym so you have to look for them...just like opportunities to make someone's day
SMILE's intention is to inspire people everywhere to watch for ways to show kindness to others.
SMILE could cost nothing. Simply open a door for someone, say "Hello," to a stranger or let someone else go before you. Or SMILE can cost as much as you wish. Volunteer time, donate goods, services or money to a local service organization, or become someone's mentor.
There's no group to join. There's nothing to buy. SMILE only asks that you put others before yourself, be kind to one another and keep in your mind that we are all much more alike than we are different.
